A 6 week UX portfolio sprint with Sarah Doody. Only happens once a year.
It runs Aug 3 – Sep 11.
Stop DIY-ing and get it done
Instead of Googling how to create a portfolio, you’ll spend 100% of your time taking action, and finish your portfolio much faster.
Stand out with storytelling
Write case studies that tell recruiters and hiring managers exactly what they want to hear about your projects and experience.
Succeed after you are hired
This framework will also help you build credibility, influence stakeholders, and articulate your ideas once you are hired.
A few places UX people have been hired with 5-figure salary increases:
UX designers, UX researcher, UX writers, ICs and and Senior UXers have used my UX portfolio framework and templates to get results like these:
“Taking notes for their portfolio”
I received a job offer a few days after the interview.
The people in my interview complemented the storytelling and detail in my portfolio.
They were even taking notes so they could improve their portfolio!
“Received an offer!”
I received an offer 30 minutes after my interview. I couldn’t have done this without this program.
I will be a Senior UX Designer on an enterprise team.
Your UX portfolio course is superior and so well thought out!
“Allowed me to be seen”
Your program works. It helped me create a portfolio that allowed me to be seen and become more prevalent to recruiters, exactly what I needed!
I got hired at WalMart Labs. If it weren’t for this UX portfolio course, I would not be where I am today!
I’ve been teaching about UX portfolios way before it came the trendy thing for UX people to talk about and create courses for.
I (Sarah Doody) created and taught her first UX portfolio course in 2017 and has been testing, iterating, and evolving it since then.
Before you keep scrolling, know that our UX portfolio framework …
Works for all roles and disciplines within UX
This portfolio methodology works whether you’re a UX writer, researcher, designer, strategist, or any other role within UX, Product, and Tech.
Sure, the portfolio of a researcher will have different projects and visuals than a designer, but the process to create it is the same.

No matter how much, or little, experience you have we all face challenges of second guessing ourselves, over-thinking, and not knowing where to start.

If you decide to add on private critiques, you’ll implement the feedback you received fro Sarah or our expert UX coaches she’s trained.
In your last week, we will have a live session where our team will live critique slides from UX portfolio presentations created during the sprint.

In 2017, I noticed UX and Product professionals struggled to design their own portfolios … kind of ironic. But the more I dug into the problem, it became obvious:
UX and Product people struggle with their portfolios because they’re too close to their own work!
So I decided to do something about it. Since 2017 I’ve helped thousands of professionals in UX, Product create portfolios that stand out.
My clients have been hired at companies including Blue Origin, Capital One, IBM, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, and more.
I’m also a UX Researcher and Designer with 22 years of experience. And I’ve given talks and workshops at conferences around the world.
This is for you if you want to be ready for the fall hiring surge, and you’re sick of figuring this out on your own.
This isn’t for you if …
This is for you if …
“Hired with only 1 project”
After previously applying to 100 jobs and not getting interviews, I redid my portfolio using this framework and templates in this course.
As a result, I applied for 15 roles, got interviews a 2 companies, and was hired in 1 month with a 25% salary increase.
“Had to create a portfolio fast”
After being laid off unexpectedly, I had to create a portfolio quickly!
This course helped me create a portfolio that speaks to my projects in a way that represents my skillset.
I received offers at 2 companies and accepted my favorite one!
“This course was the missing piece”
This course is f****ng brilliant. I struggled to complete a portfolio for grad school. This course was the missing piece.
It taught me how to communicate the UX process in a way that will help me secure an internship or get into grad school
“80% pay increase”
I applied to 15 jobs and got 10 interviews. I just accepted a role with an 80% pay increase!
The guidance Sarah offers helped me create a well structured PDF portfolio which was really well received with recruiters and employers.
“Hired as a UX Research Manager”
Before, I wasn’t even getting interviews at all … my portfolio was a mess. After following this program, everything was structured, and ordered, and had a clear vision and purpose.
I would absolutely recommend the program for anyone that takes their own worth and career seriously.
“Previously getting no interviews”
I was offered a Product Designer role at Lowe’s Home Improvement!”
I was getting no interviews prior to your program.
Your UX portfolio course helped me articulate my process during my job interviews.
There are only 2 spots left and this only happens once a year.

Want help with more than your UX portfolio? Consider joining Career Strategy Lab.
We don’t know and are running this portfolio sprint in response to demand and a need in the market.
Historically it runs once a year as most of Sarah’s time is spent with her UX career coaching clients in Career Strategy Lab.
Career Strategy Lab covers far more than creating a portfolio (e.g. resume, LinkedIn, Career Roadmap, job search, interviews, and more).
Learn more about what’s included in Career Strategy Lab here.
This sprint is structured so you can write and layout 1 (one) case study. If you have more time or work faster, you may be able to write and layout more than one case study for your portfolio.
You will have access to the courses and templates until Fri, Sep 11, 2026 at 6pm PT. No extensions will be given.
The UX portfolio template and UX case study writing templates are downloadable, so you can use them for years to come.
The videos and call recordings will not be downloadable to protect our intellectual property and the confidentiality of participants.
Due to the digital nature of the course and the fact that it contains instantly downloadable templates, workshops and more, we do not offer any refunds for any reason.
You’ll have the option to get private async portfolio critiques for $149 per critique. Or you can join for VIP access and get 2 critiques included.
Your VIP critiques will “skip the line” and be done before everyone else’s, so you’ll have yours back faster.
This is a group program and you won’t receive 1:1 calls or coaching via email.
Due to capacity, there are not options to purchase one off 1:1 calls.
Yes, people with 10, 15, 20+ years of experience in UX have followed this UX portfolio framework and got hired.
The process to create a portfolio is the same regardless of how many years of experience you have. However, the difference will be in the types of projects you include.
This sprint is only focused on creating a UX portfolio.
In this sprint, we will only focus on a portfolio presentation (eg. Keynote, PPT, PDF) The materials will not cover how to make a website portfolio.
If you plan to make a website portfolio, you’re more than welcome to enroll however we won’t be able to provide support in the making a website.
No one can guarantee you’ll get hired unless they’re signing your job offer. This UX portfolio sprint program does not come with any guarantees.
