Conference & Community Policies
Harassment Policy
We aim to create a positive, safe, inclusive and supportive community regardless of politics, religion, race, age, disability, gender or gender identity, appearance, sexual orientation, career stage or experience, financial situation, location, or culture. We have zero-tolerance for harassment of any kind.
Discussion, comments, actions, or content that promotes hate or any kind are not tolerated and may result in you being removed from the conference and community and you will not be given a refund.
Each of our attendees contributes to the tone and culture of the conference. It’s up to us as a collective to stay true to our commitment to creating a safe space for everyone.

Copyright Policies
It should go without saying, but all content at the conference and in the pop-up community is protected under copyright laws of the USA.
In plain terms:
- Do not copy any content and share it externally.
- Do not copy any content and try to sell it as your own.
- Do not take ideas or concepts and try and use them as inspiration or “re-mix” them and try and pass them off as your own in any form, whether paid or free.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone who violates these terms. If you violate these policies, you will be removed from the conference and community. You will not receive a refund. You may also be subject to legal action depending on the nature of the copyright violation.

Community & Chat Posting Policies
The chat and community for the conference is designed to be a safe space for UX and Product Development professionals to have candid conversations about their career journeys.
Below are the guidelines for what is acceptable to post in the chat and the community. Please respect these guidelines so this space can remain safe, productive, and a distraction-free zone.
1) Be specific. The quality of the feedback and support you get is relative to the quality of the questions you ask. Provide the necessary context for others to understand your situation. Always explain why. This also applies to your answers. Be specific with your responses, comments, and stories. Questions such as “what do you think of my portfolio” or “how do I find job openings” are vague and not useful for you or or conference attendees in the chat or community.
2) Give and take. We’ve all experienced that friendship or relationship where someone was more of a taker than a giver. It’s exhausting. We don’t want that vibe here. Before you post, take a moment and consider if you’ve done a quick search or browsed topics to find an answer. We’ll all be better together if we strive to find the balance between giving and taking.
3) Be thoughtful, respectful, and constructive. Wresting with conflicting ideas, working through challenges, and debating perspectives is great but negativity and conversations and replies that lack respect will not be tolerated. A general rule to follow is this, “if you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face, don’t say it online.”
4) Share your stories, not hypotheticals. Stories of your real-life career experiences are crucial to helping all of us understand the realities of showcasing your skills and experience as you navigate the job search and prepare for interviews. There is a lot of surface-level advice and click-bait type content out there. This is not the place to re-post “expert” opinions you found on Twitter or Medium that you haven’t actually put to use!
5) Respect privacy at all times. What happens in chat and community is private! Do not share, screenshot, or copy anything inside the chat or community that would personally identify other attendees and share it with non-attendees. Please do not post anything about anyone else without their permission. If you’re unsure if you should post something, the answer is probably “no”.
